True Worship

The Samaritan woman had discoursed with Jesus about her life. This portion of Scripture begins with discernment, “Sir I see that You are a prophet.” That was worship and reverence. Worship is recognizing Who God is and what he represents.
She then added, “Our fathers worshipped (past tense) on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place we must worship (present tense) is in Jerusalem.” The Samaritans had a past experience of worship and it was mountain worship. It was not the true worship because it was based on past tradition. The Jews on the other hand had a present experience of worship- in Jerusalem. It was the center of worship- the dwelling place of God.

AND THE SKY SANG

“Time to snooze, little angel.” Then daddy kissed Susan’s nose and tickled her toes. But Susan was still afraid of the night.
She’d rather eat a whole bowl full of spinach than face her fears. She hid under the covers, with her thumb in her mouth.
Then the sky became darker than a purple blanket. She was sure goblins and noises in the night headed right for her room. They may even use magic to fly up to her window.

In the Hands of The Potter

Emily laid upon her bed distressed and discouraged. As she stared at the ceiling her life flashed before her eyes; the shortcomings, disappointments, betrayals, and mistakes. Overwhelmed, Emily began to cry, “my life is ruined and I’ve messed up everything.” Drowning in tears, she felt no reason to go on. “It’s over, I can’t take it anymore this struggle is too great.” For a moment, Emily took her eyes off God. Putting her attention on her own ability; she became hopeless and fell into despair. How soon she had forgotten, “not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”
