The Name of Jesus in the prayer of a believer
Mar 11th
“And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in my name [as presenting all that I am], so that the father may be glorified and exalted in the son” – John 14:13 (Amplified Version).
“And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask me no questions]. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that my father will grant you whatever you ask in my name, [as presenting all that I am]” – John 16:23 (Amplified Version)
The Name of Jesus is a powerful key via which we, as Christians, can receive answers to our prayer. However, it is not just using the Name that makes it work. That’s why too many people use the Name and nothing comes forth. Such people make it seem as though the Name holds no power. It is using the Name with an understanding of the Name that causes the Name to work. Until you understand the power and authority in that Name, nothing works for you. You can shout the Name from morning to night and nothing will happen. A lot of Christians pray and at the end of their prayer, they say “in Jesus Name we’ve prayed”. Yet they don’t understand the Name. A gun will only shoot in the hands of a man who understands how to use it. If you don’t understand how to use a gun (knowing how to load it and cock it), it can never work in your hand no matter how you pull the trigger. So also, if you don’t understand how to use the Name of Jesus to fight the devil and get what you want, you will call the Name and nothing will happen.

Understanding the Priesthood of Jesus Christ
Mar 11th
“In as much then as we have a great high priest who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]”
Hebrews 4:14 (Amplified Version)
One very vital aspect of earthly governance is the legal system. In the legal system, the defendant (the one that is accused) needs a lawyer to plead his case before a judge. Irrespective of the defendant’s offence, the expertise of the lawyer can go a long way in determining the outcome of the case. So also, in Gods kingdom, there is a system similar to the legal system. In that system, instead of a lawyer, you have a high priest. Instead of a judge, you have God who is the judge of the universe (Isaiah 33:22). You also have the devil, who is the accuser of the brethren (Revelations 12:10). And we, the believers, are the defendants who are accused by the accuser of the brethren, the devil. So therefore, as defendants, we need a high priest instead of a lawyer.

Learning to Give
Mar 11th
Proverbs 11:24-25 (NLT)
It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy, but those who are stingy will lose everything. The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh others will be refreshed themselves.
Everything we have is given to us by God: our lives, families, jobs, food, everything. At the beginning of time, God gave Adam life, the necessities to sustain life, and gave him Eve to share it with. God is still giving. God gave His only Son to die on a cross for our remission of sins. He continues to give His love, provisions, blessings, healings, and forgiveness. He richly blesses us at a continuous rate, not because we earn it or deserve it but because He loves us.
