Does Christian Giving Give You Heartburn?
Feb 2nd
Christian giving is a reference to giving the amount of money that God wants with the attitude that God wants you to give it with. There are too many Christians who want to do all of the “saintly” and Christian growth activities, except that of giving to God, as God has prospered them. The following are some key ideas regarding Christian giving:
1. God owns everything. Psalms 24:1 teaches that everything belongs to God. Everything includes what we call our money, our automobiles, our houses, and even our cloths. God owns it all, according to the authoritative Word of God (see II Tim. 3:16).
2. Gratitude should be enough. The Psalm writer lifts a marvelous question, in Psalms 116:12. In essence, he asks, “What shall one render to God, in exchange for all that God has already done for me”?

What! This has got to be very upsetting for our Lord. I am so tired of seeing my Lord being sold on television and behind the pulpit for a bargain basement price! This has got to stop! Jesus if free! His word to us, our healing’s, our salvation, his gift’s, his riche’s in us and his fruit’s from the Spirit. All free! Jesus said,”Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give,(Matthew 10:8). There is no price on Jesus or his word in our life’s. It is free! So why do you charge people for these things, tickling their ears to give unto you? Since we have received it freely, we are commanded to give it freely. Not stand in front of a camera and use extortion for your gain, “supposing that gain is Godliness: from such withdraw thyself”,(1 Timothy 6:5). Teaching people that if you want salvation and if you need healing in your life, then get on the phone and sow your $300.00 seed right now and God will give you these things in your life.

Proverbs 11:24-25 (NLT)
It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy, but those who are stingy will lose everything. The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh others will be refreshed themselves.
Everything we have is given to us by God: our lives, families, jobs, food, everything. At the beginning of time, God gave Adam life, the necessities to sustain life, and gave him Eve to share it with. God is still giving. God gave His only Son to die on a cross for our remission of sins. He continues to give His love, provisions, blessings, healings, and forgiveness. He richly blesses us at a continuous rate, not because we earn it or deserve it but because He loves us.
