Bringing in the harvest…
Be Cautious
1 John 4:1-2
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. This is the way to find out if they have the Spirit of God: If a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ became a human being, that person has the spirit of God.
Discernment is the process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment. It is the ability to understand and use discretion. It is recognition, perceptiveness, and caution.
Spiritual discernment is necessary to perceive what is of God and what is not of God. This world has many false prophets and teachers who are ready to deceive. They appear holy and anointed. They are given power from the devil, literally possessed with evil. They are charming, charismatic, and manipulative. These “sunshine” speakers love to tickle the ears of the listener. They teach self-improvement or prosperity. They know the right words to say to seduce the listener and captivate the audience. They prey on the weak, immature, and unlearned. Sometimes, even the elect of God are deceived. We always want to see the good and forget that this world is full of corruption.
Don’t be naive. The Bible speaks of the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Those who have the appearance of good, but evil is lurking within. These people are motivated by selfish reasons: praise, status, wealth, and power. They use their victims to reach their goals. It is scary to know how many people are led astray daily. The number would be staggering.
Attentively examine the atmosphere, speech, actions, and attitudes. Distinguish if it aligns with the truths given to us by God’s word. If something just doesn’t seem right, it probably isn’t. This happens when the Spirit is in disagreement with what is taking place. Discernment is for our protection.

Written by Reinhard Bonnke Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46 Here is a question. It sounds like a Bible riddle, two riddles in one in fact. What is
Prosperity…Is It Biblical? : Benny Hinn

Prosperity…Is It Biblical? The term “prosperity teaching” or “prosperity Gospel” is one of the most misunderstood and misused terms in today’s language. I believe biblical prosperity is scriptural, and it is taught throughout the Bible. Giving to the Lord is so important that God has promised that those who give for the work of the

Romans 3:10-18 (NLT) As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous-not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with
Behold The Beauty Of The Lord

Who can describe the beauty of Christ? His person so lovely, his nature so holy, his heart so fond, his spirit so gentle, his look so winning, his voice so soothing. And with all that I’ve said, it’s still not enough to describe all of His beauty. Oh, what a beautiful Savior is Jesus Christ!
Biblical Texts to Show God’s Zeal for His Own Glory

Probably no text in the Bible reveals the passion of God for his own glory more clearly and bluntly as Isaiah 48:9-11 where God says, For my name’s sake I defer my anger, for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off. Behold, I have refined

I think I’ve learned a bit about Paul reflecting on the first chapter of Ephesians. For instance, from chapter 1 verse 3-14 I’ve developed an impression that Paul was excitable. (Read the passage here.) He was obviously wound up because the whole section is one long sentence in the Greek. He is so enthusiastic about
